Our
visits in Cape were a little slower paced. Highlights included a
children’s museum, putting our pumpkin in a pumpkin, street
construction, and a trip to Alabama
for Tim’s brother’s wedding.
At the children’s museum, Ben got to milk a cow, harvest crops, go to the bank, play doctor, and sit in a fire truck.
Tim’s parents invited some of their friends over to meet Federica.
We went to the park and met up with friends a couple times.
We
had a photo shoot with Fede in a pumpkin. She did really well, and was
in there for about 20 minutes. After a little while, she discovered
that she could gnaw
on it.
While
we were there, they started some work on the street right in front of
the house. They started with a jackhammer, and then brought in a
backhoe and a dump truck.
Ben was so fascinated, and Tim’s mom got out Tim’s toy trucks. Ben even
got to sit in the backhoe.
We rented a minivan to road trip down to Alabama for the main event of our visit, Danny and Britton’s wedding. We got the van so we could all ride together, which ended up being a fantastic decision. I don’t think our car would have made it, and the grandparents kept the kids entertained the whole way.
